i was playing in gots server & i got killed by mr. pink mine.i checked the place it is inside our colour area. it is safe houese.

  i was russian & mr. pink is german.



so can i put mine mine in safe house in that area?
also i want to just know which other place/maps we can put mine in other spawn/colored area and which not.i read document about spown map but it is not written.

7.  Mines are OK, but no prox-mines at spawnpoints.
Mines used to defend your position or to kill unsuspecting enemy are fine.  But everyone knows where the spawnpoints are.  Placing a mine at or near a spawnpoint so that people step on it as soon as they spawn is essentially the same as spawnkilling.  Do this and you will be kicked.

Our rules do not state that you cannot put mines in the enemy spawn area.  They do state that you cannot put a mine AT or NEAR a spawn point with the intention of killing someone as soon as they spawn and try to move.

This is a most timely discussion to have indeed as there seems to be some " confusion " about where certain mines on certain maps can actually be placed !

1 Area up for discussion should be the exit to the east end of the german ruins running north east towards the house ?

Where is the mine acceptable to place ? I have listened to various Gents have various opinions on where this mine placement is acceptable ?

The rule is very clear.  You cannot place a mine on or near a spot where the enemy spawns.  Even if it doesn't kill them it goes off and reveals their location to everyone.  This is not fair or gentlemanly play.  Sometimes mistakes happen and people forget about this spawn or that spawn but the rule is followed by the Gents.  There are also some spots that while not technically illegal are considered bad play.  Such as a mine down the stairs of the U-Bahn.  If a mine is questionable or you are unsure it is better to ask before you set it.

Oh, and BTW, the spot you are talking about on Safe House where the Germans exit their ruins onto the middle street is most definitely a spawn mine.  I have a lot of very recent experience with spawn point placement and I KNOW that is a spawn mine!  If you put a mine there a German will spawn, take two or three steps, and BOOM that mine goes off.  Because of invulnerability it won't kill the German but it lets everyone know he's coming.

I didn't think there was a spawn point sufficiently close to that position.  We'll have to check.

The position Infant was talking about definitely has no spawn point, so it is fair.

Pink and I looked at this and we were talking about two different spots.  The one I was talking about is just fine, the one Pink was talking about is a no-no.

Which one Limey actually put his mine in we'll have to see... I'll post a pic when I get a chance to clarify.  Actually Pink took one so he can post it.

Refering to the picture above , thats the alley left of bank if your a German .

I throw mines there all the time and its perfectly legal to do so . No Russians spawn anywhere near it .

As for the mine Im talking about , well I watched and learnt from Weasel so if Im wrong then hes wrong and we all know that never happens

Admittedly, in something like this, it is pretty unlikely.  

It is equally unlikely Pink would be wrong.  And as I said, in fact we were BOTH correct, but we were talking about different spots.

Pink and I looked at the spots in question.  Naturally, the spot where I place my mines is legal.  That's why I place them there.  Since you learned by watching me, your should have been legal too, and indeed, that is where I have seen you place mines in the past.  

Pink says, however, that in the case to which he refers, that's not where you placed it.  I'm waiting for Pink to post the pics, so he can show the legal spot I'm talking about, as well as the spot he says you (Limey) put it.

The spot he's talking about is definitely illegal, and I have not seen you use it, but he thinks he did.  Anyway when Pink posts the pic of what he saw, you two can sort it out.

#1 Don't put mines at or immediately adjacent to spawnpoints.

#2 Stay out of the enemy spawn area.

#3 If you can throw a mine somewhere while still obeying #1 and #2, you're legal.

#4 We prefer mine kills , and would rather not have to fire any bullets at all , sniping is so last year . So feel free to run over as many of them as you can find , thankyou ...... that is all !
