Why is it that 99% of cheaters come from the eastern block countries!

this is realy the only game iv played on line and it sickens me to come accross cheaters galore! also i think this game should loose the headshot only ish perminant kill!

im quite sure in the real world of snipering we wouldnt have to continually shoot someone to die , even emptying a 50 caliber machine gun into them, they turn around and shoot u once and u die!  Also, getin waisted over a 100 yards by a
hand gun abd they is not even aiming!!

anyone else out there got any thoughts!

If so my clan has come up with a reason thats all they know how to do. Download a game called Crossfire you have not seen cheaters untill you played this game. No we wouldn't because they wouldnt have a brain to think of saying "Ok pull the trigger now". Theres 2 reasons I could think of if your having to much of a problem. 1. your missing if you try to shoot them (It has happen to me where I thought I was hitting but I was just missing by an inch). 2. you have really bad ping or the person you are shooting has bad ping. anyone else out there got any thoughts!

These are my thoughts they may be wrong to some people but well each to there own I guess. LOL

99% of the cheaters are from the Eastern Bloc because 99% of Sniper Elite players are from the Eastern Bloc!  That being said, do not discount the cheaters from other regions.  There are many and their numbers are growing rapidly.  It seems everytime I play I find at least one player who is suspect.

By Eastern Block , hes on about , Poland , Romania , Croatia , Serbia etc

There are cheaters from every country... I don't think it's about nationality.  As time has progressed, the demographic of SE has changed.  2+ years ago, there used to be a lot more players from the west than there are now.

More recent growth in sniping populations have been in the east: Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, China etc...

The cheaters follow the population.  Before there were more cheaters in the west because there were more snipers there.

But really, the level of cheating is this game is nothing compared to others.  The Call of Duty games are absolutely rife with cheaters.

Let's hope it never gets so out of hand here in our community.

On the subject, I just had a beautiful cloister of mines carefully placed around my nest when some speedhacker ran through each one and shot me at point blank range :/

Yeah Strange as it may seem , id love to play around the cheats (if i cud that is!)
by goin invisible and playing them at there own game! now that would be funny!

iv been playing sniper most of today, and by golly , if there is  a game  that
makes u wanna beat someone up for the hell of it, snipers the game for it!
(barring the wife)  i was up  being machine gunned at, and as a stroke of
luck, i managed to spin round with a hand gun and kill the enemy!
and guess what!......

the machine gun kept firing at me seconds after i killed the enemy!....and there was no lag in the game!

and talk about still getting sniped with a hand gun and my rifle has no effect!,
i know settings can be change for power, but!... a hand gun over a 100 yards!

also i like some info on if the netwrk setting can be modified in anyway asto effect game play!  im not interested how it can be done, just if they can and what are the simptoms!

there was talk among some sniper players regarding using a paid for/ modified
fifle, is this posible!

is it posible to have some form of software to detect cheaters to be made, i know gamespy goes some way but not used in sniper!

All that we know about populations countries we can say
from two indirect facts :
1.Average Numbers servers of countries in week. (HLSW)
2.Numbers teams in country.

Leader is Poland.
But not many cheaters i see from this country.
Because most players of them play in teams.

dunno about bad ping but i alwys seem tobe the person that gets shot to bit, so if there was bad ping, surely we would both be affected!

Future releases of Spotter will combat certain aspects of cheating Im told , however youll need to play on server where the host is using it or host a game yourself for it to be of any help to you  

chears on the info regarding the spotter, i have that but not hosting any games my self!

its a pity we cant get their addresses from their ip's, as to send a hit squad around
and make them see sense (shot in the leg or something!)

but nevermind, maybe some decent programmers out there can maybe comeup with something!

Ive been hosting games and ppl join and start yelling about so and so cheating ban theam, but i dont notice the cheating? Is thier a way to see if codes are being ran? Like PS2 if you reload and it delays to show the bullets go to 5 or multiple gun shots after 1 shot and usally the persons bar shows as black when everyone eles is yellow. Does PC have these effects?

Also to try and remain fair I tell theam to switch sides and ill play against the cheater(s), but the ppl refuse to play this way and just stand in the open waitting to be killed over and over again. Should I vote the accused with no proof or the guy accuseing? I just enjoy fair clean games.

Ive been acused over and over of cheating but dont lower myself to those standers. And would hate to be banned or voted out of a room unfairly and wont resort to doing the same. Also thier is a ban list of clans/players where do you download this list at? Because if they've been demed to be placed on a list then they are 99% guilty of something.

Again why does snipe pwr have to be at 400 all the time. If you ask me thats spoiled. And wish ppl would respect the host setting and rules the way they was set.

I'd say run your servers the way you want.  If people don't follow the rules, then kick them or whatever you like.  It's your server, after all.  

Power certainly doesn't have to be 400.  We play 200, and lots of people play at other settings.

Just host your games as you like, and don't let the rude people get to you.  

Scoopers,u have a few good tips there from Weasel! I do the same - that's why Spotter is such a great help! I host most of the games I play and with the spotter I have the chance to choose whom I like to play with.Thumb's up,Weasel! I have a gang of 25-30 people who I regularly play with so it's easier once u have found people who share your "gamestyle" and that are glad to see u're hosting.

Just joined a game, the host was using cheats and hacks in his game.

I saw his rifle fire like a machine gun, plus while on the safe house he was using the cheat spots.

His name is PS/2.

Yep, that's a cheater.  Sorry you had to deal with that.

I think saying 99% cheaters come from thier is a bit in accurate. Join the spanish server and see for you're self. I played a few nights back for some quick games. I decided to join the spanish server and WOW   my first game joined had not 1 but 4 guys running speed hacks zooming around the map. Once I seen this I left and joined another game where a guy was takeing shoots from the house on U-Bahn Russian side at the german spawn. Not hitting anyone just shooting in thier direction. 3rd game I couldnt prove but I would say thier was way to many proxies. After you pickup 5 you cant pick up no more I know this and after dieing 5 times in a row from this I would say yea thiers a cheater or something foul in play.

Go take a look and see for you're self. 3 out of 3 games is either just dumb luck or a sign  

I think you may be mistaking cheating for some rather commonplace situations.

The zooming around can be found in any laggy server. I have seen people shooting at nothing before. . .or shooting at their teammates.  

You can set the number of mines to 5 either in-game or from spotter.

Dunno... I've met some players,who appeared to shoot randomly through walls - like Scoopers described - but "escorting" you with fire while  you run...so I'd say they are wallhack-newbies trying out the equipment. I have also joined once a game,where indeed the mines were set to 5,but the respawn area had way more around - absolutely no chance.

I do not doubt that you and others have encountered cheating.  I've seen my fair share as well.  The point I am trying to make is that once a person becomes aware of the cheating problem that person tends towards paranoia and they start jumping at every shadow.  This is just as dangerous as the cheating itself.  If accusations start getting thrown around without concrete evidence then the community will fall apart.  We need to keep rational about the problem and not lose our heads screaming "CHEAT CHEAT" everytime we see something we don't immediately understand.

I wish everybody would understand what u just said...anybody can get kicked out of games or accused of cheating a.s.o. Paranoia rules! That's why we are all anxious to see S 2.0 coming out.But i'm not asking again,when
I simply choose to play less than before and at p10 mostly...

Sniper Elite doesn't require an high-end pc to work and the cracked version works very well on multiplayer. So is no wonder that there are so many players from the east european countries. And being so many players , of course there.s also many cheaters. Another issue is the age of the players, most of them being kids so we can't expect the kids not to cheat.     Spotter is the answer
